A few words with Matt from DevOpsDays...

Could you tell us a little bit about your project?
Netlify
DevOpsDays is a large, global set of DevOps-related conferences. Each conference is locally organized, and loosely governed by a global core team. The need of the website is to allow each local conference to have a single central place to list their event information in a consistent way, but provide flexibility for pushing the updates. By utilizing git as our “CMS” for this, we can allow the different local teams to push their content changes, but it was super critical to ensure that these changes do not break any other local groups. The deploy previews feature of Netlify makes it super easy for the folks with commit bits on the main repo to easily ensure that the “look and feel” doesn’t get broken by pull requests.

Why did you choose Netlify?
Netlify
The amazing Jess Frazelle clued us into the “deploy previews” feature, which has completely revolutionized our workflow.

What is your favorite thing about Netlify?
Netlify
Deploy Previews! We are looking forward to being able to leverage a great build system in our upcoming redesign due to Netlify. It’s super necessary for folks to be able to build our site locally (using Hugo) without needing gulp/grunt/whatever we choose, and we know that the Deploy Previews function will let us be sure that everything works.
