Flux

Flux is a gateway Australians can use to participate directly in parliament. A Flux political representative gives up their autonomy and votes according to the people. Flux is working on bringing together the best of technology by improving voter accessibility to their representatives.

With high traffic during elections and the need for a multi-lingual site, Flux needed a stack that they could feel confident about. For them, it was a major plus Netlify has a huge focus on community and open standards. Check out a few words with the Flux co-founder below.

A few words with Max from Flux...

Could you tell us more about your project?
Netlify
I love the idea of static sites, it just makes so much sense. We do have high-ish (well for us) traffic during elections, and we are going to need to transition into a multilingual site soon (though not sure how to go about this yet), and we’re looking into ways to allow many contributors to work on the site at once (though it’s still html+markdown and git currently, which isn’t as accessible as we’d like).

Why did you choose Netlify?
Netlify
Netlify seemed like a really awesome service, it did exactly what we needed really easily, and was an early adopter with services like LetsEncrypt which sits really well with me (warm fuzzies ❤️). I feel good supporting netlify for a whole lot of reasons: great service, market diversity, compatible philosophy, forward thinking, ready for us and you to grow, community engagement, contributing to open source. Love it.

What is your favorite Netlify feature?
Netlify
Deep git integration is great. Not just plain old CD/CI but the branch previews are amazing. That said it might soon change to other features (like the CMS - going to go explore that very soon)
