Netlify Donation Matching

Your donations make change happen. Together, we donated over $80,000!

Thank you so much to the Netlify community! You submitted over $55,000 in donations to help support the Black community. With our $25,000 match, we were able to contribute more than $80,000 to help drive meaningful policy change and advocate for justice.

The facts

  • On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man, was killed by a white Minneapolis Police Department officer, Derek Chauvin, who forced his knee on Floyd's neck for a total of 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
  • Over 1,000 people are killed by police every year in America, and Black people are three times more likely to be killed than White people. (source)
  • In 99% of neighborhoods in the United States, black boys earn less in adulthood than white boys who grow up in families with comparable income. (source)

We don't have solutions to the systemic racism, violence, and injustice that Black people in our community have to endure, but we have the resources to support change-making organizations. By donating and speaking out, we can advocate for justice and help implement policy changes to prevent police violence and brutality in the future.
